Capturing Exam Attendance

Note: If a student is marked as absent, the mark of the specific Assessment Event is excluded from the final mark calculation. If the attendance is left as present and no mark is captured, the calculation would give the student ZERO marks for that assessment. Absent must be selected in Mark Attendance for calculation to ignore the assessment weighting.

Click on Examinations > Manage Marks Entry
Select all the relevant criteria including Assessment Type, Subject, Assessment Scheme, Subject Variant, Assessment Scheme Level and Assessment Event and click on Search.

Marks

Select the Student/s enrolled into this Assessment Event for whom “Absent” needs to be marked (since by default all the Students would be marked “Present” in the Assessment Event)and click on Mark Attendance button, which will open the pop up as shown below:

Examination Attendance could be captured here either as “Present” or “Absent”
Click on the Save button which will save the Examination Attendance for the Student/s

Note: Examination Attendance could be marked while performing Marks Entry and Mark Competency both.
