SIS Schools - Capturing Competencies (Grade 0000 – Grade 3) Capturing Competencies (Grade 0000 – Grade 3) Click on Examinations > Manage Marks Entry Select all the relevant criteria including Assessment Type, Subject Code/Name, Assessment Scheme, Subject Variant, Assessment Scheme Level and Assessment Event and click on Search. Note: For Gr 0000 – Gr 00 you will need to select “OTHER” as the Assessment Type, for Grade 0 you will also need to select OTHER for the Assessment Schemes to appear and select Academics for the subjects to appear This displays the list of enrolled students in this ‘core competency/skill’ and class. Select the students you wish to capture the competency for, you can select all by clicking on the check box at the top of the list. Click on the Edit button. Capture the competency the student has achieved in the Grade column: Requires Support Developing Competence Competent Excellent You are able to select from the following options, Excellent does not need to be used if it is not required: You are also now able to select multiple students and apply a competency to multiple students Select the students you want to apply a competency to by clicking on the check box next to each student that has achieved a specific competency Click on the Set to Default Grade button and select the applicable competency. Click on the Save button You can continue capturing the competencies until all students’ competencies have been captured Once you have completed capturing all the competencies, select all the students that you have captured competencies for and click on the Save button to save the grades You are able to capture comments for each student’s competency, but these comments do not appear on the report card. This comment is for internal use only. Once the competencies have been captured, click on the Select all check box and click on the Save button (If you do not select the students and save, the competencies captured will not be saved).
