  1. Capture Marks/Competencies

  1. Capturing Marks (Grade 4 – Grade 12)

  • Click on Examinations > Manage Marks Entry

Select all the relevant criteria including Assessment Type, Subject Code/NameAssessment Scheme, Subject Variant, Assessment Scheme Level and Assessment Event and click on Search.

  • This displays the list of enrolled students in this subject and class.

  • Select the students you wish to capture marks for, you can select all by clicking on the check box at the top of the list.

Click on the Edit button.

Capture the mark the student has achieved in the Marks Obtained column:

  • You are able to capture comments for each student’s mark but these comments do not appear on the report card. This comment is for internal use only.

  • You are also able to capture Penalty Marks which will be subtracted from the Total Mark for this assessment for the specific student for example for ‘Plagiarism’.

  • You are able to capture Grace Marks which will be added to the Total Mark for this assessment for this specific student for example for ‘Excellent formatting’.

  • Both Penalty Marks and Grace Marks can be left as “o” and are not required if a school chooses not to use them.

  • Once the marks are captured, click on the Select all check box and click on the Save button (If you do not select the student, the mark will not be saved).

  • Overnight jobs will run that will continuously calculate the CASS, Final Results and Grade Averages as results get captured and finalised. If a mark changes, the results will update with these jobs that run. [we are looking at running this job at least 4 times a day in the peak results periods].
