SIS Schools-Assessment Events Management Assessment Events Management Assessment Events Set Up (Grade 4 upwards) Click on Examinations > Manage Assessment Events. Select the relevant Grade, Subject, Assessment Scheme and Assessment Method and click on Search. This will display the Assessment Titles, Weighting, Min Marks, Max Marks, Exam Status and Student Enrolment. To view students mapped to that subject click on directly on the number under the “enrolled students” column. You can have a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 10 Assessment Titles per Cycle, for CASS and for Summative (i.e. 12 assessment events per Cycle per subject). There are 3 Cycles. You are able to edit the Name of the Assessment Title in the New Name column. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you use an identifier as a prefix for the Assessment Events that you are adding so that you can identify which cycle and assessment the event belongs to: Cycle/Assessment Prefix to be used Cycle 1 – CASS C1C_Assessment Name Cycle 1 – Summative C1S_Assessment Name Cycle 2 – CASS C2C_Assessment Name Cycle 2 – Summative C2S_Assessment Name Cycle 3 – CASS C3C_Assessment Name Cycle 3 – Summative C3S_Assessment Name Cycle 3 – Summative C3S_Assessment Name Once you have typed in the prefix of the Assessment Name, you can type in any name for your assessment e.g. C1C_Test 1. You can add a Weighting, Min Marks for the assessment and Max Marks for the assessment Weighting must add up to 100 for all the assessment events. You can decide what weighting you want to capture for each assessment event as long as the total is 100 for all assessment events in the cycle. Min Marks is the minimum mark you would like students to achieve, however this is for a benchmark to be set for a min mark of an assessment only and you will be able to capture marks that are lower than the min marks you have set. This does not affect the student’s overall mark calculations. Max Marks is the mark that the assessment is out of e.g. marks out of 50 Click on the Save button once you have made the modifications and additions you require. Once this is saved, an overnight job will enrol the students that are enrolled in this subject into the Assessment events that have been added, automatically.
