SIS Schools-Importing Attendance Importing Attendance You are able to import attendance via an attendance template Click on Grades & Subjects > Capture Attendance Click on the Import Attendance tab Select the relevant criteria and the relevant From and To Dates Click On the Download Template radio button An Excel file will download where the attendance can be captured for the dates specified in the selection Note: this table should not be modified at all and only the attendance should be captured under the relevant date. Do not add students to the list or amend any of the pre-captured details or the import will fail. Should some information be incorrect, this needs to be modified on STASY and the template must be downloaded again to display the amendments This file needs to be saved on your computer as a .csv (Comma Delimited) file with a relevant file name Click OK when this message appears: Click Yes when the following message appears: In Stasy, click on Grades & Subjects > Capture Attendance Click on the Import Attendance tab Click on the Upload Template radio button Click on the Browse File button and select the .csv file you saved with the captured attendance Click on the Upload CSV file button You will get a message stating that the transaction completed successfully, click OK. In the table below, select the relevant import and click on the Force Run button, click OK when message appears Click on the Refresh button to refresh the screen and update the status (this may take some time to complete, dependant on the number of records imported) Once the Processing Status says Completed, the attendance has now been imported If any records did not import successfully, you will see a Download link in Bad Records and one in Log file The Bad Records download link will show which records were not imported The Log File will explain why the specific records were not imported Repeat the process above for the student attendance records that did not import successfully once you have fixed the issues in order to re-import the correct records.
