Microsoft Teams: ADvTECH Tertiary Asset Managment
This article will describe the process to set up a Microsoft Team for asset management. This Team can be used to provide a shared location for campus/office asset management. The Posts tab can be used to track CAPEX applications, orders, disposals, transfers, etc... All asset documentation can be saved under the Files tab.
1. Log a Service Request via the ADvTECH IT Service Desk for a Microsoft Teams administrator to create a team for the campus/office with the details listed below.

Name of Team: Site Code + Asset Management (example: VCKNDW Asset Management)

Team Owner: Regional Service Delivery Manager
2. Once the Team is created, the Service Delivery Manager to add the below staff as Members of the Team.
- Campus Head
- Head: Finance
- Head: ICT Support (where applicable)
- Senior ICT Support
- ICT Support
3. In the General channel, the Service Delivery Manager to create the following folder structure under the Files tab.
- Asset Acquisitions
- Asset Disposals
- Asset Registers
- Asset Transfers
- Asset Templates
